About Milam
Where it started
For ten years I toured the world as a musician. I was the guitar player and a songwriter for Bleach, a rock band on Tooth & Nail and Capitol Records.
We played close to 200 shows a year, recorded six albums, and spent most of our lives on a bus or in a van going city to city. I watched night after night what happens when an artist genuinely connects with a room full of people. It's a remarkable thing. And I kept wondering: what happens to all of that energy when everyone goes home?
That question became my career
I've spent the last fifteen years building systems that turn fan engagement into lasting revenue.
Along the way I co-founded a fan engagement platform, brokered first-of-their-kind partnerships between professional athletes and a global nonprofit, and helped grow a monthly donor program past 100,000 supporters.

The proof of concept behind Fan Revenue Engine
Outside the work, here's what actually shapes how I think and why I do it.
Family
Milam lives outside of Nashville TN with Ashley, his wife of twenty-two years, and their four children: Gunnar (17), Remy (15), Ryder-John (11), and Birdie (8).
Adoption
In September of 2017, we became a transracial adoptive family when our daughter Birdie was born, also birthing a passion for helping other families adopt and foster.
Gold Star Families and
Combat Veterans
I became a Gold Star Brother on July 23, 2003, when my older brother, Captain Joshua Byers, was killed in action in Iraq while leading a convoy of troops. Our family has the privilege to work with organizations such as American Gold Star Mothers, Dark Horse Elite, Wreaths Across America and many others who are serving veterans and their families on a daily basis.
IronMan 70.3 Finisher (2023)
In honor of the 20th anniversary of losing my brother in Iraq, I finished an IronMan triathlon alongside my brother, Jared, and Patrick Benson (Founder of Dark Horse Elite and veteran who served in Iraq with my brother, Josh).
If you've read this far, you probably have a sense of whether we'd work well together.
